Abstract
Cefuroxime [CX] placental transfer was studied in 20 women after one or more 1.5 g i.v. injections. Ten women had labor induced at term and 10 were delivered by elective cesarean section. High of CX concentrations were found in the cord blood and amniotic fluid and therapeutically active antibiotic levels were found in the infants for up to 6 h after delivery. CX may be useful in bacterial intrauterine infection treatment. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
