Abstract
A model for occupational therapy, presented in this paper, is an elaboration on the biopsychosocial model outlined by the author in 1974. The conceptualization of this model is an attempt to provide a holistic approach to the philosophical and scientific foundation of the practice of occupational therapy. The structure of a model for the health profession is suggested, followed by a detailed description of the content of a model for occupational therapy. The relationship between a model and framed of reference is outlined. Keywords
