Abstract
The abnormal cysts or tubules lined with squamous keratinizing epithelium found after the prolonged administration of oestrogenic compounds, were present either just dorsal to the pro-static urethra, projecting towards the abdominal cavity between the lower ends of the vasa deferentia, or in the neighborhood of the epididymis. They were observed in 17 of 342 [male] mice treated with ocstrogens; but none were seen in mice not so treated. Epithelial metaplasia with keratinization in the generative organs usually follows the prolonged administration of oestrogens to [male] mice. The structures descr. may be remnants of the Mullerian duct made visible by such metaplastic changes. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
