Abstract
The morphology of caprolactam crystals depends strongly on the solvent from which they are grown. Qualitative explanations of the observed growth forms are either based on the interaction between the solvent molecules and the growth units or on an orientational ordering of solvent molecules at the solid-liquid interface which affects the step free energy. Keywords
