Les modifications de la fréquence critique de fusion au cours de l’intoxication par le tabac

Abstract
Nicotine neuritis is characterized by a lessening of the critical frequency of fusion. This is found in the region of the fixation point and the blind spot and parallels the extent and depth of the centro-cecal scotoma. The changes in the frequency of fusion run parallel with an improvement or aggravation of the illness. Lessening of the frequency of fusion can still be demonstrated when visual acuity and kampimetry show no further defect. Whether or not these changes are pathognomic of nicotine neuritis is still a question.
