Abstract
The heretofore undescribed mechanisms of escape-capture bigeminy were presented. in addition to S-A [Sino-auricular] block, A-V [atrio-ventricule] block, and reversed reciprocal rhythm, this arrhythmia occurred during the operation of certain artificial pacemakers (such as the demand and atrio-synchronized units) which function on an escape basis. in 1 case escape-capture bigeminy occurred during a period of post-cardioversion sinus brady-cardia. The analysis of iatrogenic electrical arrhythmias has proved the importance of deductive reasoning in clinical ecg. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
