Abstract
Serologic analysis by the use of the complement-fixation reaction in sera from injected rabbits indicated that the rickettsia of this disease belonged in the spotted fever group. Analysis by using guinea pig convalescent sera from various rickettsial infections indicated that North Queensland tick typhus rickettsia did not belong to any known members of the spotted fever group but represented a new strain within this group. Keywords
