Abstract
The new quantitative technique of Ponder is used to show that hypo-tonicity is inhibitory in a cell-saponin-NaCl hemolytic system. Various kations in the cell-saponin-salt system are compared with each other, and with the standard in terms of a resistance constant. The equations applicable are identical with the general equations for inhibition and acceleration of hemolysis. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
