Abstract
The equipment necessary to use a micro-ionisation detector of the Lovelock type with helium carrier gas is described. Although not used at its highest sensitivity, the apparatus can measure quantitatively 1 per cent. v/v of components in a mixture of carbon monoxide, nitrogen, hydrogen and methane of total volume 5 × 10–4 cm3 at S.T.P.Keywords
