Abstract
In this paper a design technique for the two-dimensional filters is proposed. An optimization algorithm is developed to minimize the p-error criterion under the constraint that the resulting filter be stable. Design of one-dimensional filter may be considered as a special case to which the proposed algorithm is applicable. Several examples are solved to illustrate the technique. Keywords
