Rheumatoid Cyst Causing Extradural Compression

Abstract
Ompressed the cauda equina, and extended posteriorly into the subcutaneous tissue. A fifty-two-year-old woman with chronic rheumatoid arthritis came to us with Pain in the left lower extremity and a subcutaneous mass in the lumbar region. A rheumatoid cyst extended from the joint between the articular processes of the third lumbar vertebra on the left into the epidural space, compressed the cauda equina, and extended posteriorly into the subcutaneous tissue.
