Abstract
Dense populations of Hincksia hincksiae and Ectocarpus fasciculatus were found on blades of Laminaria hyperborea and Saccorhiza polyschides in Brittany, France. Clonal cultures of healthy and infected plants were established, and infectivity of the virus particles was demonstrated. Size and morphology of the virions are similar to those previously found in Ectocarpus siliculosus and in the genus Feldmannia. Keywords
