Three-Dimensional Structure and Morphology of Mycoplasmalike Bodies Associated With Albino Disease of Prunus avium

Abstract
The mycoplasmalike bodies were present in mature sieve tube elements of diseased tissue, but not in healthy controls. The bodies ranged 0.15-1.0 .mu.m in diameter and 0.5-1.8 .mu.m in length. Morphologically the bodies were spherical or tubular. Some of the tubular bodies were branched, and some bodies were attached to stacked endoplasmic reticulum.
