Remark on the experimental determination of ‖Vts/Vtd‖2

We propose a method to extract the ratio ‖${\mathit{V}}_{\mathit{t}\mathit{s}}$/${\mathit{V}}_{\mathit{t}\mathit{d}}$ ${\mathrm{\Vert }}^2$ from a measurement of ΔΓ/Γ for the ${\mathit{B}}_{\mathit{s}}$ meson. This method is experimentally more sensitive than the conventional method for large values of ‖${\mathit{V}}_{\mathit{t}\mathit{s}}$‖ but depends on the accuracy of parton level calculations.
