Abstract
The experience with a metallic, multicrystal focusing monochromator system with an adjustable radius of curvature used in neutron scattering experiments is described. The system was used both as monochromator and analyser. Easily and quickly tuned to given experimental conditions the system assured flux gains for magnons and phonons up to 2.7 accompanied by a marked improvement of the peak to background ratio and without noticeable changes in resolution. Keywords
