Cognitive Processes and Success of Students in Instructional Computer Courses

Abstract
This study found a significant difference between cognitive styles and academic success of education students enrolled in instructional computer courses. Field-independent students had significantly higher scores in instructional computer courses than field dependent students. The impact of computers in education requires planners of preservice and inservice teacher training programs to design appropriate materials and training strategies to maximize the academic success of students in instructional computer courses.Keywords
