Abstract
A newborn female child with hypothermia, tachypnoea and poor Agpar scores was demonstrated to have absent septum pellucidum, partial agenesis of the corpus callosum and misshapen left lateral ventricle on ultrasound examination. Fundoscopic examination noted hypoplastic optic discs. Given the appropriate clinical setting and fundoscopic examination, cranial ultrasound can be the preliminary evaluation for septo-optic dysplasia and related anomalies in infants with open fontanelles. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
