Abstract
By repeated ion-exchange resin chromatography, 2-aminoethane-sulfinic acid was isolated and identified (melting point 175-177C). This compound was detected in Trichomya hirusta, Septifer virgatus, Mytilus edulis, Adula strata, and Barbatia obtusoides of 13 species of Mollusca tested, in 2(Anthopleura stella and Diadumene luciae) of 4 Coelenterata, but not in Annelida at all. Keywords
