Abstract
P, NP, and NPK fertilizers were generally effective in increasing growth of some 168 slash pine (Pinus elliottii var. elliottii Engelm.) progenies established in four fertilizer tests in northeast Florida and southeast Georgia. Rust incidence response to fertilization was variable. P and NP additions resulted in higher wood densities. Progeny-fertilizer interaction was observed for only one trait in one test. Variation among progenies was observed for all traits. Fast-growing progenies can be expected to respond well to fertilization. Keywords
