Abstract
A cellulolytic, thermophilic Hyphomycete isolated from molding, open-stack alfalfa silage and from fir and spruce pulpwood chips was identified as Sporotrichum thermophile Apinis, recently described from soil and plant material in Britain. A fuller description of S. thermophile is given and its generic placement discussed. Keywords
