Abstract
A digital system can be viewed as an interaction of two structures, a data flow structure and a control structure. In this paper we adopt this point of view and concentrate on defining a structure theory for asynchronous control networks, which is formed by interconnecting certain basic control modules. Each control module performs a single primitive control function. Keywords
