Abstract
• The detection of cancer before the onset of symptoms is the challenge of the future for x-ray diagnosis. It is not the mass survey technique as much as the periodic x-ray examination (at least annually) directed by the patient's own physician for which the medical profession must prepare itself. Doctors, not time, should make the diagnosis of cancer of the lungs, stomach, and colon. Periodic x-ray examination, be it of the chest, or of some other accessible part of the body, is the best road we now have to cancer curability, but the rewards are equally dependent on the proper attitude of the physician. Keywords
