Abstract
Expts. with 9 dogs showed that hyperthyroidism did not produce significant changes in free and total cholesterol content of whole blood or plasma. Thyroidectomy produced marked hypercholesterolemia, confined to plasma. Thyroxine administered to thyroidectomized dogs abolished hypercholesterolemia without disturbing normal ratio of free to total cholesterol. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
