Abstract
The distribution of birth years of physicists involved in the development of quantum mechanics shows a striking periodicity, with a period of about seven years. Although an obvious explanation of the phenomenon is lacking, a preference of humans to cooperate with persons who differ from their own age by an integral multiple of about 7 years could be a possible mediating mechanism. This publication has 27 references indexed in Scilit:
