Abstract
The morphology of the globule leukocyte (GL) was investigated by light microscopy and EM in normal (decidua of mouse placenta) and pathologically altered tissues (tumors of epidermis and mucous membrane in men). The GL may originate from mast cells and from eosinophil granulocytes. The high content of basic proteins within the globules of GL was interpreted as a nutritive function of this cell type with respect to the surrounding tissue. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
