Abstract
The iodate–As(III) system which exhibits bistability in an ideal continuous flow stirred tank reactor (CSTR), exhibits tristability when subjected to the mixing model of Kumpinsky and Epstein [J. Chem. Phys. 82, 53 (1985)]. The cross flow between the major and minor reactors influences the system’s lower hysteresis limit more than its upper hysteresis limit. Keywords
