AUTORADIOGRAPHY USING DRY MOUNTED FREEZE-DRIED SECTIONS FOR LOCALIZATION OF CARCINOGENS IN THE LUNG

Abstract
A freeze-dry autoradiographic technique is presented as a model for the microscopic localization of carcinogens in the lung following intratracheal injection or inhalation exposure. This totally nonliquid histologic technique minimizes carcinogen diffusion or translocation which could occur during standard tissue processing.
