Abstract
This article sets out to highlight the findings and implications of research into the effectiveness of the Lovaas Programme (compared to other approaches) for early intervention among children with autism. A summary of evidence/opinion leads to the conclusion that early intervention can achieve positive outcomes, but that the Lovaas approach is not unique in this, and scope remains for further studies. Keywords
