Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not the burning of certain building materials could produce products that could be confused with gasoline, diesel fuel, kerosene, or jet fuel. The subject of laboratory investigation of arson has been treated elsewhere in the literature [1], as have specific procedures for residue isolation [2–4] and identification [2,4,5]. A study of the amounts of hydrocarbons which may be obtained from charred materials has been made [6].This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
