Abstract
Developed a new state measure of dysphoric mood intended for use with preadolescents and adolescents, the Youth Depression Adjective Checklist (Y-DA CL). The Y-DACL is a 22-item adjective checklist containing both positive and negative adjectives that can be quickly administered and scored and may be used to monitor daily fluctuations in mood. Studies of Y-DACL reliability indicated that it is a reliable measure of dysphoric mood. Validity studies support the concurrent and construct validity of the Y-DACL. Preliminary standardization data are provided for the Y-DACL.Keywords
