Abstract
The Seebeck coefficients of lutetium have been measured along the [10¯10] ( axis) and [0001] ( axis) crystallographic directions as a function of temperature from 8 to 300 K. These results are compared with the single-crystal Seebeck coefficients of yttrium and discussed in terms of the Fermi surface.
