Abstract
Form and placement of the A. tonsa spermatophore were investigated using scanning electron microscope techniques. Attachment of single and multiple spermatophores to the posterior portion of the female genital opening was accurate and-restricted to the spoon-shaped proximal end of the neck. The cylindrical portion of the neck and remaining distal section of the spermatophore hung entirely free.
