In a mighty curve, convex to the west and north, the Central Alpine Zone trends from the Mediterranean to the eastern confines of Switzerland in the north-east, marked by a series of granite massives, the principle of which are: Mercantour, Pelvoux, Belledonne, Mont Blanc, Aar, and St. Gotthard.Keywords
