Abstract
This paper considers the problem of the field of an alternating magnetic dipole on the axis of cylindrical boundaries separating isotropic conductive formations. The study accounts for attenuation, phase shift, and reflection in the conducting formations. Numerical results are presented for the voltage induced in a separated coaxial receiver coil. The results are applicable directly to induction logging theory. Keywords
