Abstract
Several cases of advanced tooth destruction from widespread severe carious lesions are presented where methadone syrup has been used intra-orally in a drug rehabilitation programme. Aetiological factors are discussed and suggestions made concerning treatment plans and social implications for these patients.Keywords
