Fuzzy logic functions synthesis-A CMOS current mirror based solution

Abstract
The prototype framework is presented for automated synthesis/layout generation of current-mode fuzzy logic circuits using an intelligent module approach. The library of modules representing the standard fuzzy logic operators is built. These modules are used to synthesize sophisticated fuzzy logic units. Fuzzy unit designs are made on the results of current-mirror-based fuzzy logic function synthesis. This methodology is incorporated into the presented framework. As an example, the membership function unit is synthesized and the final layout is generated. A fuzzy logic based controller is described. The results show the advantages of the proposed system over the classical design methodology with respect to area, relative error and performance.
