Abstract
The properties of regenerating rat liver mitochondria are not changed by thyroidectomy. Hepatectomy induces, in thyroidectomized rats, as in normal onces, a decrease in the activity of the outer membrane enzymes, stimualtion of oxidative phosphorylation and an increase of the turnover rate of mitochondrial proteins. Thyroid hormones do not seem to have a major effect upon the liver regeneration mechanism. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
