Abstract
Di(p-chlorophenyl) acetic acid was isolated in pure form from the urine of rabbits fed doses of 100 mg./kg. of body wt. of DDT in olive oil by stomach tube 6 days a wk. The compound was identical in melting pt. and X-ray powder diffraction with that synthesized by condensing chlorobenzene with glyoxylic acid. The same compound can be prepared in vitro from DDT.Keywords
