Abstract
A 13C NMR comparison of synthetic and biological samples was used to identify unequivocally 2-hydroxy-3-O-methyl-6.beta.-naltrexol as a minor naltrexone metabolite in humans. The usefulness of natural abundance 13C NMR techniques in metabolism studies was discussed.
