Abstract
We report variations of between 10.7 and 15.8 AA in the periodicity of oscillatory interlayer exchange coupling of (111)-oriented Cu1-xGex-Co and Cu1-xNix-Co multilayers which depend on the germanium and nickel concentrations. These results agree with theoretical predictions that relate the exchange coupling periodicity to the diameter of the neck of the Fermi surface of Cu-Ge or Cu-Ni alloys. Keywords
