Abstract

Heteronuclear cluster compounds can be prepared from reactions between [M₃(µ-H)(µ-COMe)(CO)₁₀](M = Fe or Ru) and [ AuMePPh₃], or between the tri-iron compound and [Pt(C₂H₄)₂(PPh₃)]; the structures of [AuRu₃(µ₂-COMe)(CO)₁₀(PPh₃)] and [Fe₃Pt(µ₃-H)(µ₃-COMe)(CO)₁₀(PPh₃)] have been established by X-ray diffraction.
