Abstract
Rickettsial suspensions prepared from yolk sacs of chicken embryos infected with R. prowazeki, R. mooseri, R. rickettsii, R. akari and R. burneti were treated with Michaelis'' universal buffer both with and without 2.5% normal yolk from fresh chicken eggs, extracted with ether and the extracts tested for antigen using homologous convalescent guinea pig serum. Enhanced antigen titers were shown for all but R. burneti for which no soluble antigen was demonstrated. Keywords
