Abstract
In the absence of jaundice the brom-sulphalein dye excretion test and the urobilinogen test proved the most sensitive in indicating hepatic damage. In the presence of jaundice, however, these tests lose their value, and the most sensitive tests were found to be the serum protein detn. (hypoalbuminemia) and the glucose tolerance test. No one test should be considered the exclusive test of liver function. Keywords
