Abstract
Several lots of Eschscholtzia californica have been investigated and the following alkaloids have been identified, in addition to a new alkaloid which has been named eschscholtzine: protopine, allocryptopine, cryptopine, chelerythrine, and lauroscholtzine, which is a new name for N-methyllaurotetanine. Some plant lots did not yield cryptopine and not sufficient chelerythrine for positive identification. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
