Abstract
A new calculation of the two-dimensional polaron cyclotron mass, which goes beyond second-order perturbation theory, is presented. The present approach is based on a memory-function formalism and does not rely on a calculation of the Landau levels themselves. A comparison is made with the cyclotron mass obtained from other theories. It is found that the present results are valid for a larger range of electron-phonon coupling constants than are the existing results. Keywords
