Abstract
Severe ketoacidosis in alloxan-diabetic rats led to the following changes in tissues. In muscle the concns. of water and K decreased, N increased slightly, while Na and Cl showed no significant change; in liver there was an increase of water, Na and N, with no change in concns. of Cl or K. Livers of the acidotic rats showed a greatly increased fat content. Keywords
