Abstract
An account of the tooth of Anancus osiris from lower Pliocene deposits of Egypt; a description of the tooth of a more primitive related mastodon from Miocene deposits of Kenya is appended. The tooth from Kenya is assigned to Protanancus macInnesi n.g. n.sp.Keywords
