Abstract
.[long dash]Twenty-five parallel estimations are recorded in dogs of the albumin and globulin in blood serum and in lymph obtained from lymphatics of the leg. The average albumin: globulin ratio of all the lymph specimens is 1.41 [plus or minus]0.09 and the corresponding average for the sera is 1.26 [plus or minus] 0.05. The respective ratios show a coefficient of correlation of 0.81 with a probable error of 0.05, a correlation sufficiently high to demonstrate a definite relationship between the ratios of lymph and serum. The manner of entrance of serum proteins into the lymphatics is discussed. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
