Abstract
The cotyledons of beans cracked transversely during germination as a result of differential swelling. The breakage increased with the rate of water absorption but decreased with temp. Susceptibility to cracking varied with vars. and conditions under which the beans were stored. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
