Abstract
If isotriplet hybrid mesons () with exist and their masses are close to that of the , they may play a particular role in suppressing efficiently the amplitude for the decay in consistency with experiment, while corresponding contributions of other members of the same multiplet are also compatible with other charm-meson decays.
